The other night I was getting dressed for class, which is when I got the inspiration to write this post and share this look. I know this tip will help a lot of you because we all have went through this struggle at least once. I commute into the city via train, and if you know anything about commuting… especially late…it is not wise to wear short shorts or short skirts. So what do you do when an outfit is super cute but may be a little inappropriate due to its length? Don’t hesitate to tie a button down around your waist! It will save you a lot of stress! There is nothing worse than, for example, wearing shorts that you have to constantly keep pulling down in fear of them riding up and showing too much skin. Somehow, I grew taller throughout the span of this year, and I outgrew all of my denim shorts from last year. They are all super short on me, but instead of getting rid of them, I just wear a button down around my waist – and my problem is solved! Feeling comfortable in an outfit is key, but when you can achieve comfort while still looking super trendy…you know you did well! Once you tie that button down around your waist, the worry is gone, and believe me, it does an outfit major justice. My outfit wouldn’t have looked half as good without this flannel. My two favorite choices are denim and plaid flannel button downs. On an ideal day, I would pair an all white outfit with a denim button down and an all black outfit with a red plaid flannel button down. The white platform sneakers that I purchased from the Shoe Box provided for added height and really brightened up my darker toned look! Trix remaining as classy as ever opted for a plaid dress, and she couldn’t have looked more cute.
Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! XX

That leather skirt is so cute! I really need to add one to my wardrobe. The flannel adds a nice pop of color to the look and really is a nice way to add length to a short outfit.
