When shopping, I am always instantly drawn to simple pieces that many would pass right by when seeing it on a hanger. I constantly have the urge to take those “lifeless” pieces and spruce some life into them through my accesorizing powers ?. I experienced this scenario while online shopping on Romwe, when I came across this basic tank dress that retails for $9. Yes, $9!! I knew it was a piece that I could play around and have so much fun with; I loved that it was beyond simple, leaving me with a lot of styling freedom. Speaking of styling freedom, Trix could’ve worn nothing today and still matched me quite perfectly…but she wasn’t having that idea. So, I dressed her in a nude cross body and added some black lace on top to make for a perfect match! She had no complaints! 😉
So now lets get to the fun stuff…let me break down the ways I accessorize simple tank dresses!
1.) Accessorize with Lace: Since it is the fall, and I love incorporating lace pieces into my looks, wearing a lace bralette underneath this plunging dress was a perfect call!
2.) Statement Jewelry : As much as I love delicate jewelry, I knew that dainty jewelry wouldn’t do this look any justice, so instead, I stepped out of my comfort zone and opted for a more dramatic 4-tiered chain necklace – which really pulled the look together.
3.) Hats, Hats, Hats: By far my favorite accessory of all are hats. They never fail to make a look super chic! Sometimes…even accessorizing with just a hat can take a look from 0 to 100 immediately!
